Job summary

JobSquad Solutions Team in Glendale Heights, IL seeks a Gage Calibration Technician to calibrate and inspect precision gages to blueprints and tolerances. Work days are Monday through Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm, at multiple local locations including Glendale Heights and nearby sites.

Strong attention to tight tolerances and accurate measurement tools is essential. Required are 5+ years in gage calibration, 1 year in tight tolerance environments, blueprint reading, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience related to gage calibration field.
• 1 year experience working in a tight tolerance production environment.
• Experience with custom gages and reading blueprints.
• Experience with micrometers, dial indicators and drop gages.
• Read, write, speak English.
• Tool making experience preferred.
• 5S standards preferred.
• Aerospace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and inspect custom gages to blueprints and tolerances.
• Operate and verify bench gage equipment for calibration.
• Maintain accuracy in a tight tolerance production environment.
• Document calibration data and ensure traceability.

Job Description:

Experience with: Custom Gages Manually using a blue print CMM Experience to check custom gages 5 years experience related to gage calibration field 1 year experience working in a tight tolerance production environment Inspection techniques and bench gage equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, drop gages, etc. Read, write, speak English Read and interpret blue prints for custom gages Tool making experience preferred 5s standards preferred Aerospace experience preferred

Locations and Commute:

Sometimes they will be asked to drive to one of the other locations. All locations are miles apart so not a far drive. The three locations are Bloomingdale, Glendale Heights, and Carol Stream so again, not a long drive to each location.
