The AT&T Hotel and Conference Center on the UT Austin campus is seeking a Gabriel's Bartender to craft traditional and elevated drinks, pour wine and beer, and provide friendly service. You will handle orders, payments, and maintain a clean bar area.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma or equivalent, active TABC certification, and strong communication skills. This on-site role offers opportunities within a university-affiliated setting and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and handle payments.
• Maintain clean and organized bar area.

• Monitor customers to prevent over-consumption.
• Manage liquor and bar supplies.

Come join our team as our next Gabriel's Bartender at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, located in the heart of the UT campus! Hook'em!

Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:

Prepare traditional and elevated mixed drinks and pour wine and beer, while serving our guests in a friendly and helpful manner.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Prepare mixed drinks, pour wine and beer.
2. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
3. Prepare mixed drinks to match customers’ specific orders.
4. Ability to prepare drinks quickly, accurately and without waste.
5. Receive drink orders from servers and guests.
6. Collect payments and operate the cash register.
7. Clean up after guests and clean their work area.
8. Serve food to customers seated at the bar.
9. Check identification of customer in order to ensure that they meet minimum agerequirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
10. Ensure customers do not drink too much alcohol.
11. Responsible for ordering and maintaining liquor and bar supplies.
12. Form attractive displays out of bottles and glassware.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

1. Fulfill special requests for guests
2. Inspect back of the house areas
3. All other reasonable requests as required

OTHER DUTIES

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Flik from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
