Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Manager of Technical Accounting to lead GAAP research, policy development and financial reporting compliance. You will serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on U.S.

GAAP and support strategic initiatives across the enterprise. This role requires strong accounting research skills, experience with complex transactions, and collaboration with finance leadership and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Requires strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and ability to apply complex accounting guidance.
• Ability to research and document accounting issues and provide technical memoranda.
• Develop and communicate corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Experience with acquisitions, leases, debt arrangements, and other strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Research and interpret new and existing U.S. GAAP standards.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda and documentation.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate corporate accounting policies.
• Monitor emerging guidance and assess impact.
• Support accounting for acquisitions, business combinations, leases, and debt arrangements.
• Assist with month-end close, financial reporting, and management reporting.
