Job summary

Delta Materials Handling, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis of business results. You will assist with month-end close, investigate discrepancies, and prepare reports that help management understand financial performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting and 3–5 years of related experience. You will collaborate across departments and help maintain internal controls and documentation for audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 3–5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, PivotTables, LOOKUP).
• Ability to learn ERP systems quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze general ledger activity and research unusual balances and discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports and explain variances between actual results, budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other accounts.
• Assist with fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking.
• Collaborate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation supporting transactions.
• Follow established accounting policies, approval procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and data accuracy.
• Complete special analyses and other accounting-related assignments.
