Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Accountant to manage general accounting operations and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP. You will prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate ledger entries and timely closing.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting, 2+ years of accounting experience, and strong Excel/US GAAP knowledge. CPA is preferred; exposure to automation tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• 2+ years of experience using US GAAP

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting operations and maintain accounting records
• Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, sales reports)
• Prepare journal entries and conduct general ledger operations
• Support monthly closing process
• Participate in interim and year-end audits and external reporting
• Support robotic automation and other finance initiatives
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to accounting team
