Summary

The Success Learning Academy is a dedicated early childhood education center committed to providing a nurturing and engaging environment where every child can thrive. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our Georgia Pre-K Summer Transition Program team. The GA Pre-K Summer Transition Assistant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in implementing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate instructional program for rising Pre-K or Kindergarten students. The program is designed to help children develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for success in the upcoming school year.


Duties
  • Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities, lesson plans, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
  • Support children’s social-emotional development and encourage positive interactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom space.
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and meal times.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to monitor student progress and behavior.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and team members.
  • Follow all program guidelines and licensing requirements as outlined by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL).

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working in an early childhood or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS) preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must be able to pass a background check and meet all DECAL requirements.
