Job summary

Florence Hand Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation in LaGrange, Georgia, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our In-House Rehab Team. The role delivers patient-centered care to restore function and support daily living activities within a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Georgia Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure required.
• COTA certification required.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients on Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial insurance, and other plans following acceptable practice standards.
• Record daily treatment charges according to approved billing guidelines.
• Document daily notes and progress notes according to documentation guidelines.
• Participate in patient/resident care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Communicate with supervisor and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress and plan.
• Participate in in-service training programs for other staff in the facility.
• Instruct families in caregiver training for patients to return home.
• Coordinate with members of other departments and staff in the Rehab Department.
• Perform other duties as requested.
