Job summary

NDWA in the United States seeks a GA Base Building Organizer to deepen and expand the Georgia organizing program. You will cultivate new worker contacts, primarily agency-employed home care workers and family childcare providers in Middle Georgia, into NDWA members, while supporting leadership development.

The Georgia team operates with a staff of four and is part of the NDWA Field Team; this temporary role has potential to become permanent beyond the initial two months.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years organizing experience (paid or volunteer).
• Strong relational and communication skills with diverse communities.
• Ability to work some nights and weekends.
• Fluency in Spanish is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Base building: recruit new members via canvassing, events and worksites.
• Phone follow-ups, organize group calls, track membership engagement.
• Develop leadership among new workers and partners.
• Coordinate recruitment and outreach in the chapter and events.
• Present recruitment information and assist joining NDWA online.
• Build relationships with community institutions and partners.
• Send digital communications and track participation in systems.
• Monitor field activity and progress against chapter goals.
