National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) seeks a DC Organizer to grow the DC-based domestic worker base, develop member leadership, and represent NDWA in local coalitions and campaigns. The role focuses on increasing workplace rights compliance in DC and supporting rights won under the DC Domestic Workers Bill of Rights.

The DC Organizer will spend substantial time in the field across the DMV area, engaging workers, conducting know-your-rights trainings, and coordinating with partners for

• 1–3 years of grassroots community organizing experience, with emphasis on labor and/or base-building.
• Transformative organizing experience to empower workers and build leadership.
• Strong commitment to engaging diverse, low-wage communities and developing leadership.
• Comfortable communicating in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Base growth: implement outreach in DC using online and offline tools.
• 50–60% of time in the field engaging domestic workers and building the base.
• Engage in awareness and enforcement work through rights education and outreach.
• Develop worker leadership to run trainings, and support coalition and campaign activities.
• Support DMV Chapter staff to grow infrastructure and participate in national campaigns.
