Clear Channel Outdoor seeks a General Ledger Accountant to ensure accurate monthly closes and fair-state general ledger accounts across domestic and Caribbean units. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, and support reporting, audits, and ad hoc analyses.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 2+ years in general ledger work, GAAP knowledge, and strong MS Office skills. CPA is preferred, and the position is based in Allentown, PA.
Clear Channel Outdoor Job Summary: The General Ledger Accountant’s primary function is to complete all assignments necessary to ensure an accurate and timely monthly accounting close and to maintain an analysis of general ledger accounts to ensure each is fairly stated.
Prepare and submit general ledger journal entries to Corporate by the accounting close deadline to close the books each month accurately and timely. Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned business units (domestic and Caribbean) to ensure each account is fairly stated. Analyze and interpret airport lease agreements to ensure compliance with our reporting and payment requirements and adhere to contractual and corporate deadlines. Work with Corporate to ensure accurate reporting of LOC’s, Bonds, property tax, and sales and use taxes in the U.S. and Caribbean as needed. Preparation of ad hoc analysis as requested (ACS, ACDBE, Fixed Assets, etc.). Support annual budget process. Assist with internal & external audits by providing necessary financial data, supporting documentation, and explanations for audit inquiries. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent field required experience. CPA preferred.
Work Experience Two (2) + years of general ledger accounting & account analysis experience.
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
