Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute General Music teacher for JoAnn Leleck Elementary School at Broad Acres in Silver Spring, MD. This part-time role supports daily instruction and program continuity while the regular teacher is away.

The position requires knowledge of MCPS curriculum, effective instructional practices, and the ability to integrate technology. Regular attendance at school activities outside instructional day may be required per contract.

This is a Temporary Part Time (TPT) position that does not include benefits.

Summary Description:
Under direction of the school principal, plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students. Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure Success for Every Student. Supervises students in a variety of school related settings. Monitors and evaluates student outcomes. Communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff and community. Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students. Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices. Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities.Physical Demands:Special Requirements:Required to attend school meetings, programs and activities outside the instructional day as mandated by MCEA contract.
