Under the direction of the middle school principal, plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for adolescent students. Works with interdisciplinary teams to foster a school culture conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of adolescents, ensuring success for every student. Supervises middle school students in various school-related settings. Communicates and collaborates with students, staff, parents, and the community. Develops, selects, and differentiates instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students. Maintains records, follows procedures, uses data analysis to monitor achievement, and ensures proper use and care of equipment and facilities.

Attendance at school meetings, programs, and activities outside instructional hours as mandated by the MCEA agreement.
Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited college or university, with knowledge of adolescent learners.
Certificate/license: Meets Maryland state certification requirements in the appropriate field of education.
