  • Works cooperatively with participants to meet all Oklahoma licensing requirements and Early Head Start Standards as applies.
  • Implements curriculum in the classroom to meet the needs of the child(ren)
  • Maintains daily records for each child in the center (attendance, behavior and growth observations) and center activities.
  • Maintains daily plan of activities in the classroom
  • Maintains materials and equipment and reports to the Center Director (Team Leader) when equipment needs repair
  • Promotes the overall effectiveness of the center by performing tasks and sharing responsibilities designated by the director/team leader during peak periods, or fill in when an individual is away from the center.
  • Maintains an active but orderly center appearance and learning environment indoors and outdoors.
  • Develops a positive relationship between the center, children, parents, faculty, and the community.
  • Assumes an equal share of housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Works cooperatively with all participants to create a positive center environment.
  • Attends all center activities, including staff meetings, parent meetings and trainings.
  • Identifies and reports inconsistencies in physical and behavioral characteristics in children and parents

    Position Summary:
    Child development technician provides direct care to infants and toddlers attending OKCPS Early Childcare Program. This individual maintains all requirements associated with Department of Human Services (DHS) licensing and/or grant requirements. The position must maintain quality relationships with parents and contribute to the overall success of the Early Childcare/ Parent Education Program.

    This position may be grant funded; continuation of employment is dependent upon grant funding and renewal.

    Essential Duties:
