Selby Jennings is partnering with a leading hedge fund in New York to recruit an FX Operations Specialist. The role focuses on managing the daily reconciliations, trade lifecycle support, and driving operational improvements in a fast-paced environment alongside traders.

The ideal candidate has 2–6 years in operations or middle office, experience with FX products and full lifecycles, and a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of experience in operations, trade support, or a related middle office role.
• Experience with full trade lifecycle and FX products.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or another related field.
• Experience support FX desks, including ndF, exotic fx options, and fx spot.
• Experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank or financial services environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily cash and position reconciliations
• Work with business stakeholders to identify process gaps, opportunities for operational improvements
• Assist with new product on boarding, process automation
• Identify and resolve reconciliation breaks
• Support the end to end trade lifecycle for FX Spot, Forwards, NDFs
• Ensure accurate booking and maintenance of trades across internal systems
