Job summary

University of Central Oklahoma's Melton Gallery is seeking a student for the FWSP position of Melton Gallery Attendant. You will greet visitors, answer inquiries, and support events and installations.

Ideal candidates are art/design/museum studies majors, familiar with Mac products, Microsoft Word and Excel, and able to communicate clearly. Flexible hours include some evenings and weekends during exhibitions.

Qualifications

• Majors in Art, Design, Museum Studies or related areas preferred.
• Familiarity with Mac products is a plus.
• Microsoft Word and Excel skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet all visitors and answer questions; track daily attendance.
• Answer gallery phone calls and emails during open hours.
• Maintain cleanliness of gallery space and ensure artwork is secure.
• Assist with research on programs/exhibitions and local art orgs.
• Manage Melton social media accounts and post event flyers.
• Assist with setup/tear-down of gallery events and installations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
