Job summary

Chattahoochee Technical College is seeking a part-time Gym Attendant for the Marietta Campus to support the Exercise Room and wellness programming. This role will supervise daily check-ins, assist with customer service for students and staff, and maintain a clean, orderly facility.

The position requires basic computer skills, strong teamwork, and good organizational abilities. A background check may be required; work-study eligibility applies for current students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing a daily check-in process of Chatt Tech students, faculty, and staff users.
• Provide quality customer service while interacting with students, faculty, staff, and others.
• Ensure authorized persons are utilizing the facility.
• Identify potential repairs needed for equipment and exercise room area.
• Ensure the equipment and exercise room area is cleaned daily.
• Assist with programming related to Wellness initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

POSITION DUTIES:

This position is responsible for assisting in the monitoring of the Exercise Room at the Marietta Campus. The position will also be responsible for maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the equipment and exercise room area .

• Assist in overseeing a daily check-in process of Chatt Tech students, faculty, and staff users.
• Assist in quality customer service while interacting with students, faculty, staff, and others.
• Ensures authorized persons are utilizing the facility.
• Assist in identifying the need for potential repairs of equipment and exercise room area.
• Ensures the equipment and exercise room area is cleaned on a daily basis.
• Assist with any programming related to Wellness initiatives.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: (In addition to the minimum qualifications)

• Students must have completed the financial aid application process, including filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
• Students must be either U.S. citizens, permanent resident aliens, or other eligible classifications of non-citizen.
• Students must have financial need as determined by a uniform need analysis evaluation performed by Chatt Tech according to federal guidelines based on FAFSA.
• Students must be enrolled for the semester they are working as a work-study employee.
• Students must be in good academic standing at the college and maintain satisfactory academic progress according to federal guidelines.
• Students must pass a mandatory background check.

SALARY/BENEFITS:

$12.00 per hour. Students may not work more than 19 hours per week. No Benefits.
