Job summary

Scheels is seeking a Café Associate to perform all Café restaurant functions including deli line, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned. You’ll maintain knowledge of recipes, follow food safety guidelines, and ensure products are received and stored according to SOPs.

This role requires a high school education and 1–3 years of related experience. You must be able to work varied hours, weekends, and holidays, with average 40 hours per week and a base pay of

Responsibilities:

• Perform all Café restaurant functions, which may include deli line, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned per Café ASL
• Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes and prepared foods
• Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances
• Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
• Prepare different types of food, drinks, and ingredients
• Ensure Scheels Cashier Guidelines are followed as it pertains to Café registers
• Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, and opening and closing procedures
• Make decisions about the purchasing of inventory, the arrangement of merchandise, and sales trends to meet or exceed Scheels' standards
• Assist in training all new associates using kitchen tools, mentor checklists, and Standard Operating Guidelines
• Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school education and 1-3 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Schedule and Compensation:

• Hours: Average of 40 hours per week.
• The Shift: Includes a mix of opening shifts (Between 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM) up to 2 closing shifts (12:00 PM – 9:00 PM), and a set day off each week.
• Weekends: Minimum of every other weekend (Saturdays between 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Sundays 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
• Pay: The posted compensation is a base hourly rate of $20.00/HR.
