Overview

The Securities & Derivatives Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities

• Process securities transactions, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of derivative products
• Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies to make process improvement recommendations
• Resolve settlement related issues and escalate as needed; recommend solutions to resolve complex issues
• Participate in the implementation of assigned projects, including new products, services and upgrades to platforms
• Identify policy gaps and formulate new policies to enhance the streamlining of trade flow processes
• Monitor and provide solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank
• Provide informal guidance and/or on the job training to new team members
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; uphold the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets

Qualifications

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide expert futures transaction input for deliverables from internal and external institutional clients and vendors
• Assist in ensuring day-to-day tasks are covered and service levels are achieved or exceeded
• Contribute to special projects and provide feedback for all project-related activities
• Apply technical knowledge of futures products, exchanges and clearing systems to projects and process enhancement efforts
• Contribute to the development of new techniques and processes within cash management
• Develop and recommend strategic decisions based on understanding of how the Securities Derivatives Operations team interacts with other business units
• Influence decisions through advice and guidance
• Evaluate moderately complex issues with substantial potential impact
• Provide informal guidance or on-the-job training to new team members
• Assess risk in decisions, uphold compliance with laws and regulations, and escalate/control issues with transparency
