Job summary

Northbound Executive Search is supporting a well-known Financial Services firm in NYC in their search for a Futures Settlements Analyst. The role focuses on clearing, settlement, and margin monitoring to maintain accurate daily processing.

The successful candidate will work with CME/ICE Clear/LCH, utilize clearing platforms like GMI, FIS, Calypso, or Murex, and ensure strong controls while partnering with desks and custodians.

Qualifications

• Experience in futures clearing or post-trade operations.
• Working knowledge of futures markets and clearinghouse processes.
• Experience with margin calculations, cash management, and settlement reconciliations.
• Familiarity with CME, ICE Clear, or LCH is a plus.
• Experience with clearing platforms such as GMI, FIS, Calypso, or Murex is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support daily futures clearing and settlement activities with accurate processing of trades and related transactions.
• Monitor and reconcile cash balances, positions, margin requirements, and settlement activity.
• Assist with initial and variation margin calculations, margin calls, and related cash movements.
• Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies and reconciliation breaks.
• Coordinate with internal trading desks, clearing brokers, custodians, and external clearinghouses.
• Monitor trade lifecycle events from capture to settlement and position management.
• Support collateral management and cash funding related to futures clearing.
• Ensure operational controls and procedures are followed and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist with projects and initiatives related to clearing operations and system enhancements.
