Job summary

Dallas College offers an internship to gain practical work experience related to your degree. Interns shadow and receive training from knowledgeable professionals across a range of tasks within a professional team.

Under close mentorship, interns will tackle projects of varying complexity, interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and contribute to planning, implementation and execution of assigned tasks. Regular attendance and professionalism are expected.

Responsibilities

• Shadows multiple office personnel and trains in tasks.
• Attends company functions and networking events.
• Respects reporting structure and follows policies.
• Answers calls, directs inquiries, and provides basic district information.
• Assists in researching and preparing information and materials; may create PowerPoint presentations.
• May manage databases and input data/records.
• Communicates issues to supervisor to improve performance.
• Ensures timesheets are complete and submitted on time.
• Shows energy and eagerness for new projects and ideas.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
