Qualifications

Future Technician (Mechanic) Opportunity with EquipmentShare!
EquipmentShare is accepting applications for future Technician (Mechanic) openings in the NW San Antonio, TX area.

For this role, we seek individuals responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of customer and company-owned heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts. Mechanics will have the opportunity to work on the newest fleet in the industry.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Practice safe job procedures when repairing equipment
  • Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment, using a high degree of independent judgment
  • Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed
  • Maintain accurate paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
  • Field Mechanics: travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance when required; maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
  • Participate in year-round OEM training provided by the company
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
  • Own tools applicable to the position
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, including schematics and diagrams
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
  • High School diploma; trade school certification preferred
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
  • Field mechanics: valid driver’s license with acceptable record; must be at least 21 to operate company vehicle
  • Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Field Technicians: may need to be clean-shaven to enter certain worksites
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; employment contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen
