You will deliver 1:1 and group therapy, develop treatment plans, conduct assessments, and collaborate with a distributed virtual team to ensure high-quality care.

Expect professional supervision hours and ongoing clinical development. The role is remote with EST hours, requiring MA licensure and experience in telehealth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
• MA independent licensure as LICSW or LMHC is required or must be obtained.

• Experience providing behavioral therapy, counseling and group therapy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological, biopsychosocial assessments to determine client needs.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and physicians for continuity of care.
• Complete suicide risk assessments within identified timeframes and with proper scoring.

• Licensure: Must be independently licensed as a therapist in the state of Massachusetts. Highly preferred 3 years post independent licensure experience. Seeking experience in IOP/PHP settings.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p EST, Monday-Friday 12p-8:30p EST

RoleSummary:

Virtual Therapists are responsible for providing high-quality care and therapeutic services to individuals dealing with various behavioral issues. The therapist will use telehealth to facilitate 1:1 and group therapy, develop and implement treatment plans, conduct assessments, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver effective behavioral health interventions.Guidelight is committed to the professional growth and development of therapists and provides free clinical supervision hours to support clinicians.

RoleResponsibilities/Competencies:

• Conduct psychologicalandbiopsychosocialassessments and evaluations todetermineclients' needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy.
• Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plansto create a cohesive case conceptualization.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to provide comprehensiveandcontinuityofcare.
• Completes suicide risk assessment within identifiedtime framesand withappropriate thoroughnessand scoringwhile consulting with clinical leaders.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviewsdetermininglength of stay and level of care.
• Assess andidentifycommunity resources based onclientsneeds during treatment/ aftercare planning.
• Adhere to all standardized Group Curriculum and Treatment Planning.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health and behavioral issueswhile building supportive and trusting relationships
• Comes preparedtoweekly clinical supervision with relevant client updates, case formulations, and questions to support high-quality care.
• Adhere to all confidentiality and ethical guidelines as outlined by professional standards and laws.
• Stay updated on the latest research and developments in behavioral therapy and mental health.

Required Qualifications

• Amaster's degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Valid MA independent licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Willingness and ability to obtain additional state licenses, as requested
• If eligible based on licensure status and applicable state regulations, must be willing to provide formal clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians as part of Guidelight's supervision program. This includes actively supporting the development of associate licensed professionals in accordance with organizational standards and state-specific supervisory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience providingbehavioral therapy,counselingandgroup therapy.
• Ability to manage clients effectively in virtual settings , including adapting interventions to a telehealth environment.
• Comfort and competence with technology , including navigating HIPAA-compliant video platforms, EMRs, and virtual collaboration tools.
• Strong engagement skills in a virtual space (ability to build rapport,maintaingroup cohesion, and intervene effectively when clients disengage).
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn telehealth best practices, including crisis response and safety planning in a remote setting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while stayingclosely connectedto a distributed virtual team.
• Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive virtual group culture that mirrors the Guidelight client experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experiencefacilitatinggroup therapy in an IOP/PHP/RES/IP setting.
• Experience working virtually
• 3 years’ experience post independent licensure
