Job summary

MELE Associates, Inc. is an on-site opportunity in Washington, DC, supporting the National Nuclear Security Administration and Nuclear Emergency Support Team planning and operations.

You will help identify requirements, coordinate with leaders, and ensure effective execution of emergency response capabilities. The role requires security clearances, strong MS Office skills, and ability to work in a high-stakes environment with periodic travel.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with an ACTIVE DOE Q or DoD TS security clearance and ability to obtain a DOE SCI.
• May require counterintelligence polygraph.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
• Ability to work with clients in a fast-changing environment; professional client interaction.
• Strong document tracking from inception to production with attention to detail.
• Capable of sitting for extended periods in an office under stressful conditions.
• Willingness for domestic and possible international travel; cost-effective travel arrangements.
• Ongoing security related checks and access requirements to DOE sites.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes DOE/NNSA NEST strategic and operational requirements to assist NA-84 leadership plan for future deployment of NEST capabilities.
• Collaborate with NA-84 Leadership and NEST assets to align strategic objectives in exercises.
• Review interagency operations plans to anticipate impacts on NEST planning and develop strategic responses.
• Attend and lead meetings, provide updates during IP R, WG meetings and briefings.
• Analyze operations orders; prepare senior staff briefings; develop action plans and after-action reports.
• Support strategic communications for Nuclear Incident Response efforts within DOE/NNSA and interagency.
• Provide meeting support, including scheduling and materials; assist in conferences and forums that support nuclear forensics missions.
• Coordinate with DOE/NNSA NEST assets to integrate operations infrastructure and readiness activities.

Graduate of ILE/CGSC/JSL course or equivalent
