Full Time • Ooltewah, TN, Ooltewah

Position Summary:

As a Lead Teacher, you will plan lessons and instruct children in activities according to an approved curriculum designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for students aged 12 months to 18 months. Additionally, you will promote and participate in all center functions, communicate effectively, and develop positive relationships with families.

Duties:

1. Implement weekly curricula that address all learning goals.
2. Provide guidance to other staff in the classroom.
3. Organize and adhere to a daily schedule.
4. Follow all State and Discovery Point policies and regulations.
5. Communicate professionally and kindly with parents, staff, and management.
6. Create a welcoming, positive atmosphere in the classroom.
7. Maintain safety and cleanliness at all times.

Qualifications:

• Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Possess knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum development.
• Understand child care licensing rules and regulations.
• Be able to obtain necessary training in CPR, Fire Safety, and other required areas.
• Hold a CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
• Meet all state background check requirements.
