Job Summary

The Salon Director in Training helps drive store performance, fosters superior client service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This individual manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leading by example in all operations. The Salon Director in Training fosters urgency to achieve objectives and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in creating a client-centric experience and meeting sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and clean salon environment.
• Set clear goals and objectives for team members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other director functions.
• Help control revenue and expenses.
• Maintain proper staffing levels for productivity and customer service while managing labor costs.
• Work nights & weekends as needed.
• Work approximately 35-45 hours per week, depending on status.

Experience:

• Management and/or sales experience required.
• Beauty Industry and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Leadership skills with coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and walk for long periods.
• Bend at the waist to clean equipment.
• Lift or assist in lifting heavy items.
• Bend to pick up trash, towels, etc.
• Perform cleaning functions like dusting, sweeping, mopping.

Compensation: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
