Day Porter Cleaning Position from 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday. Starts immediately.

***MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST.***

Job Position Description

This role involves maintaining clean and healthy environments in our customer’s buildings and grounds. Responsibilities include:

• Removing debris, maintaining common areas, restocking bathrooms, responding to cleaning emergencies.
• Performing cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving furniture/equipment.
• Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Using proper PPE as required.
• Cleaning all common areas including kitchens, cafeterias, lobbies, and break rooms.
• Placing safety hazard signs like “wet floor” signs as necessary.
• Monitoring, cleaning, and restocking bathrooms.
• Responding immediately to spills or other cleaning crises.
• Removing litter and debris from common areas.

Experience of 1-2 years as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required. On-the-job training will be provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Experience in professional janitorial services, office complexes, hotels, hospitals, or schools is advantageous. Flexibility, ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasked environment, dependability, and punctuality are essential. Respect and understanding for coworkers and customers, and ability to communicate in English are required.

Physical Demands and Qualifications

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead and forward. Must lift/carry 25 lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses.
