Job Position Description:

This position is responsible for maintaining clean and healthy environments for our customers' buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned:

• Removing debris, maintaining common space areas, restocking bathrooms, and responding to all cleaning emergencies.
• Performing all cleaning duties for facilities using provided products, tools, and procedures.
• Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving furniture and equipment.
• Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Using proper PPE where required.
• Cleaning all common space areas including kitchens, cafeterias, lobbies, and break rooms.
• Placing safety hazard signs in the building, including “wet floor” signs as necessary.
• Monitoring, cleaning, servicing, and restocking bathrooms.
• Responding immediately to major spills or other cleaning crises.
• Removing litter and debris from common space areas.
• Experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience working for professional janitorial companies, office complexes, hotels, hospitals, or schools is a plus.
• Must be flexible, able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Contributing to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude, being dependable, in uniform, and punctual.
• Respecting and understanding co-workers and customers.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead and forward. Ability to lift and carry 25lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions and differentiate between cleaning products and their uses.
