Job Description

Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) provide opportunities for experiential learning and application. Students explore various careers by applying their skills to real‑world competitive events and by completing yearlong programs that promote career exploration. CTSOs also foster leadership development and skill attainment, building the next generation of leaders while quickly adapting to soft and workplace skills that reflect industry standards. They include curricula that keep students motivated in CTE, develop strong leadership and work‑based skills, encourage high academic performance, enhance self‑esteem and confidence, assist in achieving high occupational standards, and teach about business partnerships and networking.

Responsibilities
  • Hold monthly after‑school chapter meetings.
  • Ensure at least 25% of membership attends each monthly meeting.
  • Post monthly meeting attendance and minutes on the communication platform and send them to the CTE coordinator by the end of each month.
  • Report awards, recognitions, and special events to the CTE coordinator.
  • Maintain a balanced activity account.
  • Ensure that the advisor and at least 25% of membership participate in at least one recognized activity each semester.
  • Ensure that the advisor and at least 25% of membership participate in at least one new‑member recruitment event by April 1st.
  • Ensure that the advisor and at least 25% of membership participate in at least one fundraiser event by May 1st.
  • Ensure that the advisor and at least 25% of membership host and/or participate in at least one community service project or event by the end of the year.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to indoor and outdoor conditions. The role requires frequent walking, stooping, bending, and sitting. The noise level in the work environment ranges from mild to loud.
