Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg LLP is offering a 10-week internship in the Client Growth & Marketing team in Indianapolis. The intern will support research, materials preparation, presentations, and event coordination under supervision of the Chief Client Growth Officer and a mentor.

Open to sophomores, juniors, or seniors enrolled in related degree programs; requires diligence, communication skills, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program to receive college course credits.
• Pursuing a degree in fields aligned with Human Resources, Accounting, Marketing, Information Technology, or Legal Operations.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors.
• Strong interpersonal skills for in-person, email, phone and virtual communication.
• Ability to follow instructions from diverse groups of clients, attorneys and staff.
• Provide timely, courteous, and tactful information.

Responsibilities

• Assist with research on clients, prospects, industries and market trends for business development.
• Conduct basic company and industry research and summarize findings for the Client Growth & Marketing team.
• Prepare and maintain client, prospect and business development materials.
• Support the development of attorney and practice group presentations and meeting materials.
• Track business development activities, opportunities, events and sponsorships in firm systems.
• Coordinate logistics of client meetings, conferences and events.
• Support initiatives by gathering information and completing follow-up tasks.
