East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) seeks a Future Engineers Instructor for the Power Rd Campus in Mesa, AZ. The role is full-time as an exempt, 10-month calendar position, teaching high school students and guiding them to think like engineers using modern tools and practices.

The instructor will deliver an instructional program, collaborate with industry partners for hands-on experiences, and leverage Canvas, Focus, Google Classroom, and ExamSoft to enhance learning.

Applications are being accepted for the position of Future Engineers Instructorfor our Power Rd Campus (6625 Power Rd, Mesa AZ 85212). The hours for this position are M-F 7:30 a.m. -4:00 p.m.
Position Summary: The role of the Engineering Instructor is to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their educational potential. The Engineering Instructor will perform a variety of routine duties, as needed, to teach students to think like engineers, solving real-world problems using the latest technology and tools. Students work with industry partners to gain hands-on experience in research, production, and operations across various engineering fields. This program builds the foundation for high-tech careers in engineering and beyond.
Job Type: Full Time Exempt, 10 Month Calendar
Salary: $51,917.28 - $84,636.00 Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, teaching experience, and certification.

Licensing /Certification and Other Requirements:

• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.

Preferred Experience:

• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Previous teaching experience at the high school or college level.
• Experience using Canvas, Focus, Google Classroom, and ExamSoft or similar learning management systems.
• Active involvement in industry associations or professional organizations.
