For this role, responsibilities include safely and efficiently delivering equipment, products, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • Transport loads safely and timely over required routes, obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Navigate truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follow loading crew signals.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials, using specialized equipment when needed; unload empty skids and return equipment to designated areas.
  • Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other documentation; deliver documentation upon route completion.
  • Perform routine truck maintenance, including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; report malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.
  • Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading patterns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to communicate professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
  • Ability to stay focused in a busy environment.
  • Hold a valid commercial driver’s license or chauffeur’s license, appropriate for the vehicle weight, depending on the state.
  • Pass background and drug tests as required by federal/state transportation regulations.
  • Pass DOT physical, as trucks are over 10,000 lbs.
  • Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods in a trailer cab.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • CDL drivers may need to be clean-shaven to meet customer requirements.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; employment contingent on passing a drug screen.
