Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
• Transport loads safely and in a timely manner, obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Manoeuvre truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follow loading crew signals.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unload empty skids and return all equipment to designated area.
• Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other paperwork; deliver documentation upon route completion.
• Perform routine truck maintenance checks and report malfunctions.
• Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; professional and courteous communication.
• Ability to stay focused in busy environments.
• Hold a valid commercial driver’s or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight.
• Pass background, drug tests, and DOT physicals.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• May be required to be clean-shaven for customer delivery.
• Safety-sensitive position; contingent on passing a drug screen.
