Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Software Engineer for the Astro Team in Kraków to advance Fusion ease-of-use through Autodesk Assistant, Insights, and guided Walkthroughs. You’ll design features, contribute to in-product guidance, and deliver secure, well-documented code across client and web components.

You will use AI-assisted development tools to plan, implement, test, and debug while ensuring correctness and maintainability. Collaboration with product, design, QA, and adoption teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Solid experience in C++ programming.
• Willingness to use AI technologies to improve software development processes.
• Ability to review and validate source code generated with AI assistance.
• Understanding of object-oriented development and basic software design practices.
• Some experience with data analysis, including feature adoption metrics.
• Great teamwork and communicative English.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features that improve Fusion’s ease of use through Autodesk Assistant, Insights, and Walkthrough experiences.
• Contribute to in-product guidance: assistant integration and onboarding walkthroughs tied to first launch.
• Produce clean, secure, maintainable source code across Fusion client and web components.
• Use AI-assisted development workflows responsibly and verify outcomes with tests.
• Unit test, debug, and resolve defects in implemented software solutions.
• Actively participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with teammates, QA, product, design, and adoption stakeholders.
• Instrument features and analyze adoption statistics to understand user engagement.
• Contribute to technical discussions.
