Job summary

Xcimer Energy in Denver is seeking a Program Director, Plant Control Systems, to own the Plant Control System across the IFE Fusion Plant architecture. You will provide program leadership, integration direction, requirement ownership, and cross-functional coordination to ensure coherent operation.

Collaborate with technical architects, SMEs, and subsystem engineers to align with top-level requirements, safety expectations, and program milestones, while guiding teams without direct line authority.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, systems engineering, or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years in large, complex technical programs.
• Experience in industrial automation or plant-wide control systems.
• Experience in fusion, nuclear energy, or high-energy physics environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the Plant Control System as the program owner within the IFE program.
• Coordinate cross-functional work across Laser, Chamber, Fusion Power Systems, and other subsystems.
• Maintain a program-level understanding of all control system interfaces.
• Manage budgets, resources, and schedules with risk mitigation and progress reporting.
• Own requirements, constraints, ICDs, and verification flows for the Plant Control System.
