Job summary

Delan Associates, Inc. is seeking a seasoned data/BI engineer in New York to lead testing, data analysis, and integration work across NYS Welfare/Medicaid environments.

The role emphasizes OBIEE 12c development, SQL in Oracle 19c+, and middleware administration within a large data warehouse. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, design dashboards with drill-down capabilities, and ensure high-quality data processing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Develop and execute test plans to validate large data sets.
• Apply business context to steer technical delivery and decisions.
• Experience with NYS Welfare or Medicaid/ NYCWAY in technical roles.
• Strong analytical and testing skills with clear English communication.
• Configure interactive OBIEE dashboards with filters and prompts.
• Maintain and upgrade specification documents and operations concepts.
• Administer OBIEE/WebLogic and Fusion Middleware; SS O, OAM integrations.
• Work within a large three-tier data warehouse environment.
• Write SQL and OBIEE 12c queries in Oracle 19c+.

Required Skills

A minimum of 5 years of experience with the following skill sets:

• Developing test plans and analyzing and testing large volumes of data
• Using business knowledge to guide a technical team.
• NYS Welfare Management System and/or NYS Medicaid Claims Processing System and/or NYCWAY in a technical/analytical capacity
• Excellent analytical and testing skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear, non- technical oral and written English
• Configuring Interactive Dashboards with drill-down capabilities using Filters and Dashboard Prompts, Agent, catalog object, OBIEE Security Setup groups, access privileges
• Upgrade and maintain specification plan, design documents, concept of operations, implementation of software solutions.
• WebLogic/OBIEE and Fusion Middleware Administration, OBIEE 12c Development, Administration, SSO, OAM, integration of OID with AD, Oracle Portal, Report server, and development
• Working in a large three tier data warehouse environment
• Writing SQL and OBIEE 12c in an Oracle 19c or later environment.
