Job summary

Thea Energy is seeking a Heating Systems Lead to oversee the design, development, implementation, and operation of plasma heating systems for its flagship fusion devices. This senior role requires deep expertise in high-power RF and microwave systems and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-moving startup.

You will own engineering designs, define roadmaps for the Eos device, and collaborate with physics, systems, and engineering groups while ensuring safety and timely

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in RF, microwave, or related technologies with high-power systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in startups.
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving, autonomous environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers and manage budgets, vendor relations, and procurement of specialized hardware.
• Oversee multiple plasma heating system projects ensuring timely delivery.
• Advise on system architecture, diagnostics, fusion absorption, and operation.
• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards; define system roadmaps.
