Job summary

Georg Fischer is seeking a Fusion Fabrication Technician 1 to operate and maintain fusion equipment for joining PE pipe and fittings. The role requires following safety rules, blueprints, and ISO/ASTM/DOT documentation while achieving daily production and quality targets.

Candidates must hold a high school diploma and have fusion experience, with certification in two or more fusion methods and a commitment to ongoing training to maintain certification.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow safety procedures.
• Follow ISO, ASTM, and DOT documentation requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints when required by operation.
• Must be certified to perform fusion on various diameters/SDR, and pass annual re-certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components per work instructions and SOPs.
• Verify fusion equipment is in good condition and functioning as designed.
• Maintain clean, labeled, boxed products.
• Meet production standards at all work centers daily.
• Maintain quality records and in-process test logs.
• Support EH&S programs and ISO certifications.
