Job summary

Werner Enterprises, a premier transportation and logistics company, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to unload tractor trailers and stage furniture for deliveries. This on-site role requires working Tue-Sat, 4:00am to 2:00pm, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• One plus years transportation / Logistics / customer product assembly / delivery of furniture or appliances, or experience with a moving company.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Speak English and communicate with coworkers and read assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture and staging for deliveries.
• Assemble items according to the manufacturer directions.
• Report defects or damage to management.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and environment.
• Dispose of waste accumulated during assembly.
• Interact professionally with Drive Teams and follow delivery processes to meet customer expectations.
• Assist Delivery Driver with placement of delivery items as specified by the customer.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and supervisors.
