Job summary

Newbold Services seeks experienced Furniture Painters for its High Point and Thomasville, NC facilities. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, based on experience, with immediate openings on all shifts.

• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy furniture.

Responsibilities

• Sanding and preparing furniture and other surfaces for painting.
• Mixing and preparing paint colors and stains per customer specs.
• Applying paint, varnish, shellac, and finishes using pneumatic sprayer.
• Repairing furniture components like drawers and doors.
• Troubleshooting and repairing painting equipment.
• Moving furnishings and equipment to complete paint jobs as needed.
• Performing journey level painting of interior and exterior surfaces, including patching, texturing, priming, sanding, caulking.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety rules.
• Using PPE properly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sanding and preparing furniture and other surfaces for painting.
• Mixing and preparing paint colors and stains according to customer specifications.
• Applying paint, varnish, shellac, and other finishes to furniture and other surfaces using a pneumatic sprayer.
• Repairing furniture components such as drawers and doors.
• Troubleshooting and repairing painting equipment.
• Moving furnishings, equipment and other obstacles to complete paint jobs, as needed.
• Performing journey level painting of interior and exterior surfaces for protection and decoration by patching, texturing, priming, sanding and/or caulking.
• Compliance with all OSHA regulations
• Follow all safety rules and report any unsafe conditions
• Properly use any personal protection equipment(PPE)
