Job summary

Newbold Services seeks experienced Furniture Painters for its High Point and Thomasville, NC facilities. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, based on experience, with immediate openings on all shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with a pneumatic sprayer to paint furniture.
• Demonstrated experience in furniture spraying and finishing techniques.
• Knowledge of different types of wood and how they react to various finishes.
• Ability to mix and apply stains, lacquers, and paints.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and proper handling of chemicals.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify and correct flaws in finish.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy furniture.
• Excellent time management and task prioritization.
• Strong communication and collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities

• Sanding and preparing furniture and other surfaces for painting.
• Mixing and preparing paint colors and stains per customer specs.
• Applying paint, varnish, shellac, and finishes using pneumatic sprayer.
• Repairing furniture components like drawers and doors.
• Troubleshooting and repairing painting equipment.
• Moving furnishings and equipment to complete paint jobs as needed.
• Performing journey level painting of interior and exterior surfaces, including patching, texturing, priming, sanding, caulking.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety rules.
• Using PPE properly.
