  • Repair or restore ceramic, marble, stone, metal, and other specialty furniture materials as appropriate.

  • Disassemble and reassemble furniture safely to complete repairs and ensure structural integrity.

  • Match stains, colors, finishes, textures, and materials to achieve a high-quality, customer-ready result.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, repair compounds, adhesives, stains, finishes, upholstery tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow all company safety procedures and proper handling practices.

  • Document completed repairs, materials used, and any additional issues found during inspection.

  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding repair needs, priorities, and completion status.

  • Assist the Crating Department during periods of low repair volume by building, assembling, reinforcing, and preparing crates and protective packaging for furniture and other items.

  • Help measure, cut, assemble, and secure crating materials while ensuring items are protected for transport.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of furniture construction, finishes, adhesives, upholstery methods, and repair techniques.

  • Ability to accurately assess damage and select effective repair solutions.

  • Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.

  • Experience with crate building, carpentry, packaging, or shipping preparation is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality standards.

  • Ability to lift, move, and position furniture and crating materials safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
