Job summary

Century-Furniture is seeking a packing associate to prepare and package furniture for transport and delivery. The role involves operating lifts, moving units to conveyors, and building shipping cartons with packing materials.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) with prior packing experience a plus, and must be able to lift at least 100 pounds in a noisy environment while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous packing experience a plus.
• Must be able to lift/move at least 100 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates lift to place unit on the support tray.
• Pushes unit to conveyer, as appropriate.
• Builds shipping cartons and inserts furniture into carton.
• Uses shrink wrap gun and staple gun for packing the unit.
• Scans and adds packing ticket to product.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
