Job summary

Openwork in Archdale, NC is seeking a Furniture Packer/Boxer to join our fast-paced warehouse team. Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, you will pack furniture into boxes, tape and clinch, place protective bags, label boxes, and prepare them for loading.

This role requires the ability to lift at least 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and maintain good attendance in a production environment. You will also load boxes onto the conveyor and assist with truck loading.

Responsibilities

• Pack furniture into corrugated boxes.
• Assemble boxes from flat stacks and clinching tool or tape.
• Place furniture into the box and add protective bags.
• Close and secure the box and label it.
• Move boxed items to conveyor and strap on the strapping machine.
• Load boxes onto the truck.

Furniture Packer/BoxerMonday to Friday: 7am to 3:30pmMust have the ability to:Pack furniture into corrugated boxes. This candidate must make the box up from a flat stack with clinching tool or tape; place the furniture into the box; place protective bags in the box and around the furniture to protect it; close and secure the box; place box on conveyor; strap the box securely by moving the box on the conveyor through a strapping machine; affix a label on the box. Candidate must also load the truck. There is some heavy lifting at this position. Candidate needs to be able to lift at least 50 lbs to perform the job.Packers here are expected to pack/box approximately 60 pieces a day on average. This is a high pace production oriented job. Boxer is on their feet moving and lifting all day. Good attendance is mandatory.Starting pay is $16.50
