New Albany Industries is seeking a reliable Packer to prepare finished goods for shipping on our Virginia plant floor. You will wrap, protect, and label products, operate a hand-held tap gun, and move packaged items to the staging area, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, thrives in a fast-paced production line, and follows safety and quality standards while maintaining a clean work area and regular attendance.

Formación

• Prior work experience in manufacturing.

• Covers and wraps the product with plastic and ensures it is taped tightly and neatly.
• Operates a manual hand-held tap gun.
• Moves packaged product off-line to staging area for pick up.
• Works in accordance with Company Safety practices
• Maintains neat and clean work area.
• Follows all quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Regular attendance and compliance with all work schedules.
• All other duties as assigned

Job purpose

Core Competencies/Qualifications

Working conditions

This job operates primarily in a plant environment.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, bend, stoop, kneel and twist and lift up to 50 pounds; hold and operate air powered tools weighing up to 5 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time and use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The job is in a plant environment where the temperature can be hot or cold depending on the weather.
