The Buyer will price, negotiate with vendors, analyze market trends, and drive promotions to maximize profitability across categories. This full-time role offers development opportunities and a supportive, community-minded culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field.
• 2 years buying, re-buying, or planning experience.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Ability to travel to all store locations on a regular basis.
• Pre-employment screening includes criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Price accuracy aligned with pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and product differentiation.
• Collaborate with merchandise to plan department space and financials.
• Analyze competitor activity and assess product direction, pricing and promotions.
• Develop and execute competitive sales promotions by vendor and category.
• Ensure range and lineup align with market and customer expectations.
• Evaluate vendors for capabilities and compliance.
• Negotiate with vendors to maximize funding and rebates and reduce costs.
