Job summary

Lulu and Georgia is seeking an Assistant Buyer, Furniture to join our growing team in Los Angeles. The role partners with the Buyer to develop assortments, drive strategies, and manage vendor relationships while supporting seasonal launches and market analysis.

The ideal candidate will have merchandising/buying experience, strong communication skills, and a BA/BS degree, with the ability to navigate Netsuite and Shopify and work in a fast-paced home decor environment.

Qualifications

• 1-year merchandising/buying or relevant experience managing large SKU assortments
• Experience with domestic and/or offshore suppliers and sources
• Excellent verbal and written communication including influencing and negotiation
• Self-starter, collaborative, adaptable to a dynamic environment
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite; pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Intermediate retail math knowledge with strong financial acumen
• Comfortable using AI tools to manage large data sets
• Lives in Los Angeles or willing to relocate
• BA/BS degree required

Responsibilities

• Build seasonal assortment plans and manage updates
• Provide cross-functional teams with assortment plans, product details, pricing, and margins
• Own SKU setup from Netsuite to Shopify in partnership with Merchandise
• Maintain items and update descriptions and pricing
• Manage vendor relationships and communications
• Execute vendor discounts for promotions
• Coordinate with compliance and operations for EDI orders
• Serve as liaison for product inquiries across channels
• Participate in forecasting and financial review meetings
• Provide weekly sales and margin recaps for business reviews
• Conduct market analysis and identify trends and opportunities
• Support seasonal launches including product info and merchandising lists
• Input on product assortment strategy and attend product development meetings
• Manage samples and swatch processes; coordinate with creative
• QA product data and assets with 3rd party vendors
