Job summary

Bloom Engineering, a Wabtec Company, seeks a refractory technician for prep, installation, and finishing of refractory linings in combustion burners. This is a Monday-Friday, 1st shift position with a pay rate of $35.24/hour.

You will read blueprints, mix and pour refractory material, assemble forms, and ensure high-quality surfaces and durable linings for high-temperature use. Strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with refractory or concrete.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read charts/engineering drawings to select and assemble molds and pins.
• Pour and strip molds; clean forms and parts; oil and grease as needed.
• Mix castable materials with water to required consistency; hand-mix when needed.
• Finish refractory linings and apply coatings; ensure durability under high temperature.
