Job summary

Pall Corporation in Deland, FL is seeking a Vaughns/Furnace Operator to join our Fiber/Web department on-site. You will operate the continuous furnace, set up equipment to produce products per specifications, and maintain accurate records and data for engineering use.

You will stand for long periods, handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs, and follow safety, OSHA/EPA rules. Prior manufacturing experience and basic math skills are essential. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school degree (or equivalent) with prior work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to perform accurate record keeping and utilize basic math skills.
• Able to use measuring equipment (calipers and micrometers) and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manipulate heavy wire and operate the continuous furnace.
• Setup and operate all equipment to produce products to specification requirements.
• Work under the direction of supervisors or more experienced personnel with little supervision.
• Maintain an acceptable level of attendance and use protective equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records and logs and collect data for use by Engineering.
• Cross train and/or work on Fiber/Web equipment as necessary including Leach to meet schedule.
