Job summary

Amsted Automotive is seeking a full-time furnace operator to load and unload furnaces in a fast-paced manufacturing plant. You will manage multiple furnaces and use material handling equipment while following detailed work instructions.

The role requires standing for extended periods, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and adherence to safety and process cards. On-site shifts are available with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for the full shift and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Follow work instructions and use material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts and operate multiple furnaces in a fast-paced setting.
• Visually inspect parts for defects or foreign material.
• Adhere to work instructions and processing cards per job.
• Move materials using pallet jacks and related equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a full-time furnace operator to perform duties to efficiently and effectively load and unload a variety of furnaces. Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to several elements continuously present including heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids and noise. Multiple openings on different shifts.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Load and unload parts as required which includes operating multiple furnaces at one time in a fast-paced environment
• Inspect parts visually for foreign material and/or defects
• Adhere to work instructions and process cards as required per job
• Use various material moving equipment to process parts throughout the plant. e.g. manual and electric pallet jacks and pallet stackers
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to stand/walk for the entirety of the shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Previous sintering experience preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience 1 -2 years preferred

Education

Required

High School or better.
