Alumicore, a Pittsburgh-based company with a Goose Creek, SC branch, seeks a Furnace Equipment Operator to maintain and operate furnace systems and melt operations. You will ensure product quality, manage sow handling, and keep production documentation up to date.

The role emphasizes hands-on furnace duties, safe work practices, and collaboration with casting teams within a high-heat industrial environment. Applicants should have a strong mechanical aptitude and forklift experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or trade training preferred; related certification helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, maintain, and coordinate furnace systems and melt operations.
• Skim sows and ensure quality, rebleeds, and pours meet specs.
• Weigh sows and document results for supervisor.
• Store sows and maintain orderly storage areas by furnace.
• Maintain troughs and support lime injection system and dust bags.
• Prepare molds with sow release agent for production readiness.
• Contribute to a safe, collaborative team environment.
• Inspect equipment and work areas for hazards or maintenance needs.
• Perform routine housekeeping and support preventive maintenance.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures when required.
